RPGs that respect you only have fifteen minutes
There's a myth that RPGs need huge blocks of time. On mobile that's just not true anymore, and games like Ashvale Wanderers prove it. The trick is a save system that drops you exactly where you left off and combat that resolves in a couple of minutes.
What I look for is a game that doesn't punish you for stopping. If leaving mid-dungeon wipes your progress, that's a bad fit for phone play. The good ones checkpoint constantly and let you walk away guilt-free.
Turn-based combat helps a lot here. You can take a turn, lock the phone, and come back later with nothing lost. Timeline-based systems where you see who acts next are especially forgiving for interrupted sessions.
If you've been avoiding mobile RPGs because you assume they'll eat your whole evening, try one built for short bursts. You might be surprised how much story you get through five minutes at a time.
